Legends Pro Am Great Success

Saturday, August 18, 2012

Sandy Gallop hosted the second City of Ipswich Legends Pro Am on the the 17th August 2012.

A super response from Legends professionals with 48 playing in the event. Allan Cooper and David Goode shared the title of the 2012 City of Ipswich Legends with 69. Allan defended the title he won in 2011.

Ironically the CCR has been reduced due to the application of some questionable assessments, but the professionals (only 3) could break 70. Says somethings about the application of the cousre assessmemt criteria used by GA.

Thursday was Legends Sponsors' Day and a good field attended to meet and greet the professionals.

The team event was won by Kennedy Tutisai (Pro), Randall McKeand, John Brady and Tony Binnie with 99 points.

Stableford winner was Tony Binnie with 40 points with Rod Daniels (38 points) R/U. The Legends winner was Bruce McLean.

The Legends Pro Am Team Event was won by Peter Headland (Pro), Richard Beer (Pro), Cameron McKlaren and Tony Binnie.

Amateur stabelford winner was the Mayor of Ipswich Paul Pissale with 50 points. Cameron McKlaren was R/U with 45 points.

Amateur stroke winner was Ben Daniels with gross 73 narrowly defeating last year's winner Troy McGuiness (grosds 74) after Troy doubled the 17th.

The Legends Results is avaialable on the PGA website Legends results.

Congratulations to all our members, players, helpers and supporters for another great success for the City of Ipswich and Sandy Gallop Golf Course.

Sponsors of the event were NuGrow, Focus Golf, Marbletrend, R.M.D.Industries, Randall McKeand, City of Ipswich and many more that all contributed to our success.

Well done Ipswich and Sandy Gallop.
